  • Rob Kaufman is currently the Product Owner for Hyku, and is willing to help with the transition by overlapping for a short time and/or providing guidance.

Hyku Community Programmer/Developer - grant-supported

The Hyku Community Programmer/Developer works on projects that support community-defined needs. Collaborating with the Hyku Tech Lead and Product Owner, the Community Developer will contribute to community maintenance by providing programming support (in Ruby, JavaScript, etc.) for feature development, bug fixes, accessibility improvements, maintenance, testing, and code documentation for the core Hyku release.

Support for Hyku Product Owner and Hyku Community Programmer/Developer:

  • Grant stipends are available in the range of $45,000-$50,000 per role and must be spent by July 31, 2026.
  • Funding can be provided as institutional reimbursement or individual contracts. Additional in-kind contributions are welcome. We are open to discussing how best to make the stipend or time period work for a given situation.
  • There are funds available to support training for each role.
  • Through the grant, the project goal is to develop a sustainable community funding model to extend the roles beyond the grant-supported phase.

Please submit your expression of interest and/or questions for either of these roles by January 6, 2025 by filling out this short form.

Thank you for your support of the Samvera Community!
